Founded in 2003 by Simon Johnstone, STK Performance was born from a deep-rooted passion for high-performance engineering and precision automotive design. With more than 34 years of hands-on experience in the motor industry, Simon’s expertise in Parts Interpretation and Parts Management has been instrumental in shaping STK’s globally respected range of performance camshafts and valve train components
Founder – Simon Johnstone
Simon’s journey into the world of motorsport began at the age of 18 and earned him positions with prestigious teams such as VW Motorsport and Audi Sport South Africa. A career change in the mid 1990’s to South Africa’s Top Tuning Performance Company where he refined his skills in high-performance engine development and gained valuable insight into competitive automotive engineering.
Under Simon’s leadership, STK Performance has grown from a small, passionate operation into a trusted name in the international performance parts industry. Today, the company proudly serves a global customer base, supported by offices in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Mexico City. STK continues to push boundaries in performance engineering, offering products trusted by tuners, builders, and race teams around the world.

Our involvement in the Super Turismos Light 1 8V Mexican Series places us directly in one of the most demanding real-world testing environments. Here, every component is subjected to sustained high-performance conditions, allowing us to refine, validate, and continuously improve what we deliver to our customers.
STK is also the camshaft of choice for Copi Notiauto Mexico’s racing program, with Arturo Ponce showcasing exactly what true performance looks like on track. From sharp throttle response to controlled power delivery across the rev range, the results are not theoretical — they are proven under race conditions.
