At STK Performance, some of our strongest relationships have been built over years of shared passion for performance, engineering and motorsport. One of those relationships is with the team behind 8V Performance and Kreetec — brothers Sarel and Gerhard Eloff.
Recently, we had the opportunity to visit the 8V Performance workshop while we were up in the area and spend some time catching up with the brothers and seeing what they have been working on.
With around 15 years of doing business together, this is a relationship that goes far beyond simply supplying and buying performance components. It has been built around a shared understanding of what it takes to build, tune and prepare engines that perform when it matters.
Performance from the ground up
Sarel Eloff, on the left, is the man behind 8V Performance, where the focus is firmly on performance engineering. From engine modifications and dyno tuning to race preparation and preparing competition cars, Sarel has built a reputation around extracting the best possible performance from an engine while keeping reliability and drivability in mind.
On the other side is his brother Gerhard Eloff, who owns Kreetec, conversions and the precision engineering that goes into getting the top end of an engine working exactly as it should.
Together, their expertise covers two critical sides of performance engine building — from the cylinder head and valvetrain through to engine setup, tuning and getting the finished package ready for the road or the track.
It is exactly this kind of specialist knowledge that makes partnerships within the performance industry so valuable.
Built on 15 years of trust
STK has been doing business with the Eloff brothers for around 15 years, and visits like this are a great opportunity to catch up, see what they’re working on and strengthen the relationships that have been built within the performance industry over the years.
For us, it’s about more than just supplying parts. It’s about being connected to the people who use them, understanding their requirements and supporting the specialists who continue to push performance further.
Next stop: Swartkops
And the visit doesn’t end here.
We’ll be catching up with various race teams at Swartkops on 26 September, where we’ll be spending more time around the cars, the people and the performance community that make events like these so special.
From the workshop to the dyno and ultimately to the racetrack, we’re proud to be part of the journey with 8V Performance for the past 15 years — and we’re looking forward to many more.
